Fabian started his career covering energy companies as a reporter for a daily newspaper in Austria and moved to London in 2015 to cover infrastructure and private debt deals for InfraNews and Debtwire. He joined Bloomberg News in 2019 and covered distressed debt and restructurings at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. Since 2021, he has been a freelance journalist focused on finance, venture capital, tech, sustainability, and white-collar crime. Fabian was a radio news reporter for Austria’s public broadcaster ORF from 2022 to 2023. He has been a lecturer on journalism at Vienna’s FHWien university of applied sciences since 2022. Fabian joined 9fin in November 2023 as Senior Reporter. He holds an MA in journalism from City University London.
